Where Is The Enemy?

This question follows me since I was in school when I was learning about the enemies in our wars. However, the concept “enemy” is confusing for me. Enemy is often someone who threatens our security. But at the same time, enemy could be anyone, even a friend, someone close to us.
Today, our societies face problems with issues of security. We are all confused about who are our “enemies” and how to protect ourselves. The states could equip their military with deadly weapons in efforts to protect the people from being attacked and harmed by their enemies. But how could we find the enemy? What if they are “terrorists”? What happen if we might not be able to identify them? Thus, finding the enemy is the main inspiration for this series of my paintings in this exhibition.
